Through Rescue Me, I had people from all over to give me and advise me on how to care for this baby squirrel. I was contacted by a wonderful and caring lady that drove two hours to pick him up. He is doing well. Thank you everyone for your service and care.

We found two baby squirrels two weeks ago. We posted the squirrels for adoption and in two days we found a person how was very interested in adopting the babies and giving them a good home. Thank for making rescue possible and easy through Rescue Me!

Wow! I'm impressed. Within about an hour of posting on Rescue Me, I started getting calls and emails from people that would take the two poor orphaned baby possums. Found them a temporary home that will make sure they are healthy before they are released into a refuge. I was heartbroken when I found out any Oregon state professional institute would only euthanize them. Luckily, I came across this site which saved these two lives.

I want to thank Rescue Me for the awesome help I received. Jennifer called me. With her help, I'll be meeting up with Lynn, a specialist for wildlife animals.

We had to have the upper and lower porch to our house removed and eventually repaired. This was an order by the city, so we couldn't wait. The first day, the upstairs neighbor discovered a nest of gray squirrels, and we wondered what to do with them. I contacted and posted on Rescue Me. We got several emails. One person said to call our local Humane Society, so I did. They said the babies were too young at this time of year to be on their own, so carefully move the nest into a box and mom squirrel would move them. Well, I checked with the upstairs neighbor later in the day, and mom squirrel had already moved the babies! So they are in another nest, the porch is down and it was a success.

I cannot say enough good things about Rescue Me and how grateful I am to have found this site. I am sure my baby raccoons are just as happy that I did! I posted my story and plea for help with these little peanuts and in less than three and a half hours I received a call from Jennifer informing me she had found a licensed, experienced rehab/rescue facility only one and a half hours from me. Within 20 minutes after her call, I received a call from Patti at the rescue center. I was amazed at how quickly I received a response and can't begin to describe the relief I felt. I have dogs and cats but know nothing about raccoons and the only help my vet could give was to give me Esbilac milk replacer, bottles, a couple of suggestions and wish me luck. He knew nothing of this rescue organization which surprised me. I am sharing all the information about Rescue Me and Wildlife Rehabilitation & Release, Inc. with their office so if anyone else in our area needs it, they won't have to search for help. Patti from Wildlife Rehab & Release was so caring & helpful, giving me suggestions on what I could do for them until we met the next morning. I had only been caring for these sweet babies for 36 hours, but it sure was hard to see them go. Amazing how attached you can get so quickly! But then, I am a huge animal lover :) It was like having a baby again - the feedings every four to five hours, the extra laundry from all the towels and blankets, washing them up after feedings because they are messy little stinkers.... And I'd do it again in a second. Pattie assured me that I had done a good job with them and said I can call to check on how they are doing and maybe she can even send some pictures. I gave her a generous donation and will continue to help in the future. These organizations need not only money, but also have 'wish lists' for numerous items they need for the animals' daily care. I will be sharing this list with family & friends. I am sending a donation to Rescue Me as well - without their help I don't know what I would have done. I am praying these little peanuts continue to make progress and are successfully placed back into their natural home. I have great respect for all the incredible people that help save these wonderful animals and I know the animals are grateful as well! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Thank you, Rescue Me. I finally managed to find a delightful rehabber not too far from my home for our remaining little baby raccoon duffer. The problem was that this IS the baby season with these critters and very few rehabbers have room for any more adoptees! I gave her a generous donation to help her very worthy and dedicated wildlife efforts!

Thanks, Rescue Me. Jennifer Brooks contacted me and walked me through finding someone in the local area that would take on the task of rearing these little guys. We have turned them over to her and are awaiting hopefully for good news on their survival. Thank you, Jennifer.

The baby squirrel went to a very nice wildlife rescue person. Moments before I received a call from someone here, I had posted on Dave's Garden and found help there. But I found out that this site would have led me right to the place where the baby squirrel is now. Receiving professional care and on his way to recovery. Thank you all. I have bookmarked Rescue Me and recommend it to anyone needing help.

Folks called to help me with the care taking the baby squirrel through Rescue Me. A local licensed wildlife rescuer called to adopt the squirrel into her brood so I know he will have a family and lots of friends to return to nature with!

This little one is on my back porch where he is in hibernation till spring, I will be releasing him then. Also i rehabbed 3 other squirrels from Rescue Me! which are all doing fine on their own, I see them every morning & evening. They were babies when I got them, and have blended in nicely with others. I miss them being home, but they are wild.

Jeff (Rescue Me), The results of my experience with Rescue Me are as follows: Within a few hours of posting the news of finding an injured raccoon on my property, I received an email from an individual who normally only rescues muted swans but wanted to know if I had found a home for the raccoon. I responded that I had not and this individual told me that they knew of several wildlife rescuers that would take the raccoon in to try and rescue it. Within a couple of days this individual came and picked up the raccoon and took it to one of the raccoon rescuers' home where it had space for it in a warm barn. I received several responses to my post and ended up acting on the first one. So glad to know that there are several people out there that want to help make a difference for these injured wild animals. Rescue Me really came through for me as I did not know what to do with the raccoon - especially because I had just recently moved to Michigan. Thanks again for this service! Sincerely, Wayne S.

Dear Jeff and the RescueMe organization - Thank you for making this website and this service available. It's amazing how quickly I was able to find a local person to rescue these little baby squirrels. Last night 4 squirrels left their nest in search of food, falling 30 feet from the tree onto grass. I called the animal humane society, which referred me to another list of volunteer rescuers. The one rescuer that takes in squirrels had to turn me away as she had 30 baby squirrels she was already caring for. She gave me two options: 1) care for them myself or 2) take them to be put to sleep. Neither was really an option for me, so I took to the internet and found rescueme.org. Within minutes I had my posting up with picture and all. That was at 9 p.m. last night. This morning I had a rescuer email me and by 10 a.m. the little baby squirrels had a new home. Thank you again, Martin

Hi Jeff, I just had to drop you a line to tell you our success story. 2 months ago a small orphaned raccoon was brought to me because I had successfully hand raised a newborn after his mother was hit by a car. The little raccoon from that had been brought to me was old enough to know he was a wild raccoon. His mother had done a wonderful job teaching him a lot of what he needed to know the problem was the little guy was way to young to carry it out by himself. He came to me so starved, he was just skin and bones. I knew that wasn't all he had been through as he was missing half his tail which had already completely healed. I took him in hopes of getting him strong and healthy and finding help to help him live as a wild raccoon as he was meant to be. I got on the internet, I made phone calls, I sent emails. Weeks went by and the little guy began to eat, put on weight and grow stronger. But he was so lonely and missed his family. It just broke my heart. Two nights ago when I could not sleep I came across your web site while looking for help for him. I posted an ad for help at 3 am and by 6 am had received to emails with phone numbers. After several phones calls I was driving my little wild raccoon kit to a highly recommended rehab place, Call FREE AGAIN WILDLIFE just a couple of hours away from where I live. They have several raccoons. When I arrived that little fellow perked right up and was looking as if he were saying 'Hey, Hey look! they look just like me, Is this where my family has been!!!' It was truly heart warming to see some much enthusiasm from such a disappointed little guy. After the tour and seeing him so excited I knew he was in the right place. So, THANK YOU! Thank you for all you do to keep this web site up and going so successfully. I would have never believed it unless I experienced it for myself. You've done something wonderful here! Keep up the good work!!! Oh! by the way, my donation to help make sure you can is on it's way....

Rescue Me has allowed three baby squirrels to go to an experienced rehabilitator! We discovered a group of young squirrels, starving and dehydrated. Their mom was hit by a car. Luckily we found RescueMe.Org! I created a post, and soon received emails and phone calls from all who could offer help. Finally, we choose a rehabilitator that was the right fit. It was relief to know the squirrels would go to a rehabilitator with experience and patience! When old enough, they will be back in the wild.

I had 7 orphaned baby skunks. I advertised them on this site and wanted a licensed wildlife rescuer to take them. I was contacted that same day and a dedicated young man from a wildlife rescue organization came and picked them up that night. Thank-you Stephen. Sorry I forgot to give you a donation that night. I will be sending a donation.

I posted a rescue request yesterday morning at 7:00 am stating that I had 3 newborn baby rabbits, and within 2 hours I had received a phone call and had made arrangements for a rehabilitator to come and pick up the babies. This is a wonderful website, so glad that I found it. Thank you!

I just want to thank Rescue Me and all the people who so kindly responded to our outreach for help. I have spoken to many wonderful people over the last 24 hours and am happy to report that I was able to locate a local wildlife rehabilitator that has accepted the fawn. Thanks to information obtained from Rescue Me I was able to quickly find and provide the appropriate care needed. Thanks again Nick Csabi

The same day I posted my Rescue Me animal I received an email from a wonderful woman saying she would take him. I drove up to her sanctuary and she showed me around. I knew I had found the perfect place for my duck Donald. Thanks Rescue Me for helping find such a wonderful person and place!

A day after posting here, someone called who could care for the abandoned baby squirrel we had. She was only about a mile away, and I know it is in caring, responsible hands. Thank you!

Hello Jeff, The squirrel was brought to an experienced rehabber. I was amazed at how quickly I got a response. An hour after I posted that, I was handing over the squirrel to be treated by a professional. Your website is amazing. Without it, the poor thing wouldn't have had a chance... thank you! Mary
